Our Projects

Our principal project is the creation of the Nillumbik Indigenous Plants Park.

 

This is located between Karingal Drive and Nerreman Gateway, Eltham, with the historic Smith dam as an interesting attraction.

 

Melbourne Water has given a grant of $3,000 to kick this longer-term project off.  Over the next few years we will plant hundreds of plants indigenous to the area, and label these, so that people can see them in situ, to help them choose which would be best for their gardens.  They will then be able to purchase them at Council's Edendale Farm nursery.
